To me, Dracula is a character that captures the true nature of a serial killer. If you’ve ever read books/biographies of serial killers than you should know that they have many sexual fantasies involving the slaughtering/raping of dead or injured people. The sight of blood spikes a certain attraction in them to the point of thinking of it as something sensual. Personally, I think blood is kind of disgusting but it’s all about fetishes.
Now, I’m no philosopher but I see an eerie connection between Dracula and serial killers. I’m not sure why serial killers experience these emotions, you may want to talk to a psychiatrist about that but if you’ve ever read any stories on them, their preferences are similar to that of Dracula.
It’s just something to think about while reading…
