Why did I dream I was a vampire hunter one night and dream about being a vampire the other?
A few nights ago, I dreamed I was Professor Abraham Van Helsing. Last night, I dreamed I was Damon Salvatore. WTH? Why the *drastic* shift? Why did I dream I was a vampire hunter one night and a vampire the other?
Like MANY teens? Excuse me? Do NOT compare me to THOSE Twitards! I'm a bonafide Stokerian/Draculan!

the brain is very complex. Maybe it’s a sign of what kind of person you want to be in your life. Hunted, or hunter? idk

most likely because your thought are shifting with the way you feel sub consciously. As in you could feel vulnerable one day and in control the next:)

It means that you have done something that makes you feel like a hypocrite. Have you perhaps made fun of someone for something you know you do as well and you felt guilty about it and you need to apologize.

I’m not sure why you think it is so strange in the first place. Dreams are a process in which we solidify and understand our memories to help us to learn better. If you have something on your mind or if you are subjected to a lot of random media, there is a good chance you are going to dream about certain elements along those lines.
For example, I recently went on roller coasters for the first time and that night every time I closed my eyes to try to go to sleep my subconscious started throwing me around like i was on a roller coaster trying to relive the experience. This happens so that we can play out various scenarios when we encounter something new or are just affected by something emotionally without being in any real physical danger.
So with your dreams you basically have vampires on the brain (like many teens right now) and your sub conscious is just playing out any scenarios that you are anticipating, desire or are fear full of.
Don’t worry about it, dreams/nightmares are just apart of a memory processing system and you can think of them as practice runs for life even if the scenarios are so far fetched.

Maybe your brain is trying to tell you that u have 2 different sides andu want to pick 1 even tho u might not want to deep down u do like for example say ur smart and at school u act nerdy but then on the weekends ur a total rebel or it might be trying to help u solve a problem it’s telling you to walk in someone else shoes. Or u watched the shows and had vamps on the brain haha

Maybe it has something to do with you not knowing what to be. A lot of times people don’t know who or what they should be, because influences from peers and the media make it seem as though we need to be different, but yet all the same. I think it’s your subconscious way of telling yourself that you feel as though you’re in a place where you don’t know who you really are. Or that sometimes you feel vulnerable and other times you feel in control.

Sounds like you need to look at both sides of the story. Often we see something from one perspective and fail to see from anothers point of view. A little like living a day in someone else’s shoes. So look at what it was like to be Van Helsing and how he felt about what he was doing. Then look at what it was like to be Salvatore. I am sure both felt right while you were them. Perhaps you felt powerful as both, perhaps you felt scared as both. Whatever you felt you will know that there is more than one way of seeing a situation. See where the dreams fit into your life x
