Which of these is the BEST vampire book series to read after Twilight?

Morganville Vampires

Or Other*
(*please state what other series is good :D)
I have read Twilight and Thirst, and I own City of Bones. If you suggest a book it can be slightly related to vampires like Night World or City of Bones.

I really like Vampire Academy, so I think u should read that one.
The Vampire Diaries, I did NOT like at all. I found them superficial, too short and weird. This can be because I watched the TVseries first, and the books and the TVseries are COMPLETELY different. But still, it is a matter of preferences.
I would also recommend True Blood / The Sookie Stackhouse series. Really good.

I would recommend Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice. It’s not a cutesy little romance novel like Twilight, but if you want to read a vampire story that’s actually good, you should check it out.
Another you may like is Peeps by Scott Westerfeld.
Don’t read the Blue Bloods, they were boring and simple. It was a cool idea, but lacked character and originality.

From what I have read about 3 of those series and I would say Vampire Academy. I must say, Twilight isn’t a very good book. It’s just ok, worth reading, but ok. Breaking Dawn was just terrible, my personal opinion. xD Vampire Academy is actually really good, especially the 3rd and 4th book. Blue bloods is ok, and so is House of Night. I imagine Vampire Diaries must be very good because of the tv show. *LOVE IT*
I think the Wicked Lovely series is good and City of Bones gets way better by the 3rd book.
One of the best series and the BEST VAMPIRE SERIES I have ever read is: DARRAN SHAN CIRQUE DU FREAK—> IT’S SO GOOD, but I read it when I was in grade 6, so not that high reading level, but EXTREMELY GOOD AND WORTH READING FOR SURE!
I’m sort of straying from the Vampire books, now that the craze is over and I’m getting bored of Vampires.
Try books like I am the messenger and Angels and Demons.

Ive read all those that are in the list. But my favourite one is Vampire Academy. Theres so much to it and its different than Twilight. I would definitely recommend this series. But alll the other ones are amazing. I bought the house of night series and blue bloods and vampire academy. Night World was soooooooo goood. Vampire Diaries was really good too. But its kinda similar to twilight. I would recommend alllll those books because they were just great. And theyre worth reading.

I read House of Night, mainly because I enjoy P.C. Cast and I think it’s great how she is writing with her daughter. Those are good.
The Sookie Stackhouse books, from which True Blood is based are good.
Vampire Diaries are ok, but nothing like the TV show, which is so far removed from the books that it was disappointing.
Night World is interesting esp how the books in the series relate to each other and I think the next book is coming out soon which should be the ending.
I am getting the feeling you are a young adult reader and so I am reluctant to make any futher recommendations.

All those vampire novels are absolute rot compared to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It is the first and only vampire book I’ve actually enjoyed reading. It’s scarier, sexier, and better written than any of those others, and it is the original vampire novel. Everyone who wants to be well-versed in vampire literature needs to read Dracula.

Vampire academy, trust me its the BEST love story out there, better than twilight(:
every love story has a thing that keeps the two characters apart i guess and in these books you will literally fall for this guy, fall for him harder than a real guy. the love story/chemistrey is perfect between the characters, and you wont regret it!

Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris aka True Blood
Rachel Ward series by Kim Harrison
Outworld series by Kelley Armstrong
The first 8 books in the Anita Blake Series by Laurell K Hamilton (the rest of the series is revolting)
Salem’s Lot by Stephen King
The Hunger by Whitley Strieber
Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward
The Darkyn Books by Lynn Viehl

i have read most of the books in this list and i love them all… i recommend reading

I really liked the Sookie Stackhouse Series.
And, I am currently reading the Morganville Vampire Series which I really like as well!
And my fav was eclipse then breaking dawn in that series!
