What part of Dracula (the book)–anyone who has ever read the book–what parts can’t you stand?
I can stand Jonathan Harker trapped in the castle, and the hunting and killing of Dracula, but what I can't stand is...
The point where Lucy becomes sick.
The point where Lucy is dying.
The wolf.
The point where they see her feeding in the cemetery.
The point where Arthur puts her to rest (for lack of a better term).
The point where Dracula sucks Mina's blood and forces her to drink his.
Renfield's death.
And the scene at Carfax Abbey.
The rest I can stand (surprisingly, I can stand the part about The Demeter).

I’ve only read a little ways in, but I don’t think it’s going to bother me. Victorian horror is usually considered tame by modern readers (which is probably why I like it, it’s plenty scary for me, plus the descriptions are beautiful as well as horrifying).
