What do I do about my son? He believes he's a real Vampire and thinks his friends are too?
This is kind of long but please read...My son is 18 (almost 19) and has been all into the whole gothic underground scene and vampires for a long while but now he thinks he really is a vampire because he says his best friend is really a real vampire and agreed to turn him into one. He always wears really outlandish black clothes, white make-up, even paid to get his canines elongated, the whole works...and he always goes out dressed like this. Then he wanted his sister (my 16 year old daughter) to engage in blood drinking with him and wanted to draw her blood and drink it and she sorta thinks its cool and is getting to be on his side. I'm getting concerned. This group of friends he has thinks they're like a "Vampire clan" and I think they're into bad things. I don't want my son to get into trouble. What should I do?? Serious answers please. Should I just leave him alone and let him believe he's a vampire and be with this crowd or what? When I challenge him he gets all upset defending himself and says I'm a f*cking bastard for being so closed minded and not believing.
He believes he's a "living" vampire, not exactly a story-book vampire, that's his explanation. I want to help my kid but I don't know what to do because he's so into this and so influenced by this group of friends.

I happen to agree with Ron about this one………and i am concerned that at 18 you are just now becoming concerned…………where have you been all his life, while this is developining and now with your daughter.?
The first thing is to tell him it is forbidden in your home, and pack his bags and get out, you arenot gong to pay for his life while he does this, and put your daughter on notice also.
You lost control a long time ago and now they will hate you for taking it back.
You should probably find out everything you can confiscate his computers, and keep a close eye on daughter……….she is going out of control
You have waited way too long to be of any reall help………much less gain their respect.
find out if there are any teen therapists who know about this who vampire thing, it is increasingly popular and most take it very seriously

Well I can’t imagine how hard of a situation this must be but my best guess would just love him and deal with it he’s to old now for somebody else to make his decisions for him, you raised him and all you can really do is hope and pray for the best. good luck

It has to do with ancient crap that he probably doesn’t know about, and if he does, then you need to say he can do it, because he’s smart. But otherwise he’s sold out.
This crap he’s doing is NOTHING. He needs to realize although it may be real, these were rituals preformed by people who into the occult, and what he’s doing is teenage BS, protrayed by Hollywood to sell stuff.
I know this might not work because the real story of Vampires is actually very interesting, and it gets WAY into the occult and then aliens and crazy crap.
.. But he’s being used to push products.
(I seriously doubt anybody else in this section knows so much about this kind of crazy stuff.)

For cursing at you, he should have been grounded for 4 weeks.
For trying to get your daughter to drink blood, he should have been grounded and sent to see a shrink.
Take your son outside, and keep him in the sun for 2 hours, if he doesn’t explode or sparkle, he isn’t a vampire.
Also, if you don’t discipline him now, he is going to prison. Check your computer and see what site he is going to, then put a parental lock on the internet. I used to be into that crap, either he will grow out of it, go to prison, or die by suicide.
PS: GET HIM AWAY FROM THOSE PUNKS!!!!!!
Get in touch with those kids families, and take away his cell phone, computer privledges, and forbid him to hang out with Dracula, he needs a healthy dose of reality NOW!!!!!!
Your son is in danger, and so is your daughter, grow some balls and take control of your household, if he trys to cut your daughter again, call the cops.

This can be a spiritual problem. Sounds like you need to get to church and get praying for him. To help yourself, you need to know Jesus Christ, God’s Son, who is our bridge to God. God can help you live a better life. You can have a personal relationship with God by saying the prayer below. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, eternal, holy, love. God loves us and sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, so we can go to heaven if we know and follow Him. Forever means without end — time on and on without death. Forever is what happens after we die. Either we go to heaven and be with God forever, or we go to hell which is very bad and painful forever. The good people who are saved believers in Jesus Christ go to heaven. The bad people go to hell. We need to know and follow God in this world to get to heaven in the next world. We follow God by loving and obeying Him and loving others for Him. Jesus died on the cross to cancel our sins. We need to accept Jesus into our life as our Lord and Savior forever to receive God’s blessing and forgiveness plus go to heaven to be with God forever after we die. This is about being a born-again Christian. Faith in God is a gift from God. You can pray for faith in God. Just speak out and ask God for the faith to believe in Him and to follow Him. Some people find faith in God when they realize the beauty in the world is made by God. Evolution can’t explain the world’s natural beauty, for example, the parks in the world, animals, flowers, peacocks, sunsets, butterflies, rainbows, etc. After you have your faith on, you can pray a sinner’s prayer to be a born-again Christian. This prayer is very important and should be said with a sincere heart and faith in God. This is the prayer: "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that Jesus Christ is the sacrifice for our sins. I’m Lutheran and I like the Baptist churches too. You could check out a Christian church and see about their weekly Bible study group to learn about God’s will for your life. You can pray to God about your daily life and have a Christian church pray for you.

You might find some *other* religious group which forms a sort of internally self-reinforcing belief system, and tell him all about it. He might see similarities to his own. Otherwise, you might practice a zen-like condescending smile and trust God and Karma to work on your son.

Because your son is already 18, there is little a parent can do.
By law he is considered an adult, able and capable of making his own decisions.
Only if he is "a threat to self or others" can he be MADE to do anything he does not want to do. And then it would be done by either Dr or Police.
Now, you do have the right, as head of your own home, to make him move out, support himself, and be responsible in every way for himself.
Your Daughter is still under the age of 18. She has been exposed to this same (Satanic) Cult as her brother. You, as her parent still have some choices in her life.
Were she my daughter, I would begin by calling the following phone number, a Christian counseling referral service, that includes a "ranch" for teenagers and a drug-alcohol rehab facility. I have called this for my own kids, to gain some idea of what I’m up against, and how to best deal with it, how to find help. 1-800-NEWLIFE They have a daily radio show across the US - so very helpful - reasonable.
