What do I do about my son? He believes he's a real Vampire and thinks his friends are too?
This is kind of long but please read...My son is 18 (almost 19) and has been all into the whole gothic underground scene and vampires for a long while but now he thinks he really is a vampire because he says his best friend is a real vampire and agreed to turn him into one. He always wears really outlandish black clothes, white make-up, even paid to get his canines elongated, the whole works...and he always goes out dressed like this. Then he wanted his sister (my 16 year old daughter) to engage in blood drinking with him and wanted to draw her blood and drink it and she sorta thinks its cool and is getting to be on his side. I'm getting concerned. This group of friends he has thinks they're like a "Vampire clan" and I think they're into bad things, besides just drinking blood. I don't want my son to get into trouble. What should I do?? Serious answers please. Should I just leave him alone and let him believe he's a vampire and be with this crowd or what? When I challenge him he gets all upset defending himself and says I'm a f*cking bastard for being so closed minded and not believing.

No you have to do something and something FAST!
Ahh, I aspire to be a lawyer, so I follow reality crime shows and such things, and I remember a documentary about teenager, and his friends all believing they were "vampires" as well and they went out and murdered someone, sucked the victims blood and left the victim for dead in the living room. Luckly the police caught him and he has been incarcerated.
I am not trying to insinuate your son is mentally ill or anything, but such beliefs turn dangerous because the "vampire" gains the obsessive idea that they NEED blood
Someone could lose their life if your son and his friends don’t get in control. You could report this to a local hospital and have him checked out for any mental ilnessess, who cares if your a "f*cking bastard" in his eyes for doing so. Actual people have lost their lives! on this belief, don’t let your son walk down that path.
But if you don’t want to get him checked out for mental ilnessess, there is a medical condition that makes the victim of the condition, belief he or she needs blood. This belief show throw to the point where if the victim doesn’t have blood he or she’s body doesn’t acknoledge nutrients when eating actual food. I dont know for sure if thats exactly how it works, but its something such as that.
Its a rare disease, and i believe its nicknamed "The Vampire Syndrome" or something to that effect, but its a real disease. I also watched a documentary on that.
Blood drinking can quickly get out of hand, so get your family in check, and if neccesary have them mentally evaluated. Either way good luck

You must find a real vampire in order to show your son the difference. It is likely that, in time, your son will accidentally find a real vampire and bring about his own foolish demise. You would do well to speed up this process because your son sounds like an obnoxious boy.
I am a real vampire, but I have no interest in helping your son unless you are willing to offer up the blood of your daughter as payment.

being gothic has nohing to do with becoming part of an intirely seprate race , nor does warring back or having make up , vampires do tend to dress in steriotypical ways as such , but is not what yo would think norewhat most humans could ven acturately replicate ,but thats human fashion blindness and sheepisum to you lot …
look ill put it simply and antone G as a point , vampires are preditors , and we do not even need to sharpen our teeth , they grow , and yes im sure your daughter is tasty too … but all that said and done , humans think vampires are some kind of gothic gods of darkness and beauty , and vampires these days tend to ink of humans asothing more than walking talking herd animals …
the truth is vampires are no gods … most of us are just trying to exist , and this includes me … think abo it , if youhad an extended life expectancy wouldn’t you try and get as much as you an out of it? expaine what you men by "bad things?" and as far as the teeth go , its safe to say he wont grow out of it …

well dad, you should know that with the biting peoples necks and drinking their blood is dangerous and illegal. it get him a few months in jail. and making a minor do it is also illegal. i think two years.and you know about it and your not doing nothing about so your going to jail too. and dad when he said that you’re and f*cking close minded bastard, you should get some kahunas and tell him stop acting like a damn vampire you’re 18 f*cking years old get a goddamn job. because you know no one is going to take him in looking like that. you know it, he knows it, we all know it. you need to get some power over your kid, pour some holy water on him or something. wait, were the hell did he meet these friends that think that they’re vampires? plus he’s almost 19, what about college. just step up and be a father man

Now that’s going a bit far. Your son needs mental help. Doing things like that can become dangerous in the long run if not immediately. Why dentists agree to do that kind of work is beyond me. Seriously get your son some medical assistance or if necessary call the cops or insane asylum. While I do believe in the supernatural and in fact such things as vampires and the like. If you have to wear a specific type of clothing and get an operation performed in order to be one then clearly you’re getting the wrong idea, and clearly you’ve taken things too far.

Let me be serious for once hoping that this is not a prank question. You deserve some strong scolding because it’s your parenting that brought things to this stage. I have no doubt about that. But setting that aside for the moment, you have to take charge and tell him in NO UNCERTAIN terms that he has to put a stop to this nonsense. You also have to tell his friend to stop coming around. Your son does not need such friends. Put some strong house rules, cut off his allowance, and have him constantly monitored until he comes around (because he might run off otherwise and that will be too late). And take him for some counseling and deprogramming. A psychiatrist or a psychology professional might be able to help you or guide you in that direction. The faster you do it the better.
Your message (the writing and the tone) show that you are too damn liberal. That certainly is not the way to bring up kids. It is not too late. Bring some discipline into their lives at least now. Yes, go ahead and hate me (or abuse me) for that…. but I am seeing too many parents like you….
