Do you know anything about Whitbys famous resident?

Sometimes, people that think of Dracula often place him in Transilvania (sp!) which is often wrong. He moved all over the place according to legends, stories and history, including a certain place i often visit - Whitby. I've been up to the castle, church and graveyard, though it was closed when i visited. So, before I return in a couple of weeks, would anyone be kind enough to share their knowoldge about Whitby's Dracula tales? It's nothing more on whitby, just the vamp stuff! Thankss ALSO: for those who think the gothic festival is for dracula, please stop thinking so. it's in memory of a certain goth who was murdered. jst to clear that up! x
