Countries ending with ia?





Why are there so many countries and places that end with ia in their native languages and in English? Such as Italia, Romania, Australia, Austria, Moldavia, Wallachia, Transylvania, Germania (used to exist), Latvia, Russia, Zelandia(undersea continent), Bulgaria, Serbia, Armenia, Albania, India, Asia, Indonesia, and a lot more.

    It flows better, and we have interpreted their accent and the way the natives say their country and changed it slightly
