You have got to try the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. It is so good! There are evil soulless vampires, good magical vampires, and half vampires that work their whole lives to protect the good vampires from the bad vampires. Just writing this makes me want to go to my bookshelf and get down the books right away to read them again. :) The latest book in the series just came out this month and it was amazing!

Also pretty good are the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. The show True Blood is based off of these novels and they are quick and fun reads. Very action packed!

This series is really not on par with the first two I mentioned, but the Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine is not bad.

    Happy reading!

Ok, I know the girl above me already did a whole shpeel (spelling?? ;) ) on Vampire Academy but I’m going to do another one! :)

So I love Vampire Academy because you don’t always feel like wringing out the protagonist’s neck. Rose isn’t like Bella Swan or Zoey ??? (forget her last name). She’s not needy and she’s not a slut. Her whole life revolves around her best friend, Lissa, whom she has to protect. (it’s a long story… read it to understand) She spends her life training so that she CAN protect her and she could kick your ass. Then there is Dimtri, her mentor, who she ends up falling for. :)

They are the best vampire romance books I’ve ever read. I would HIGHLY recommend them

Oh and there is a good vampire romance manga called Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino. There pretty good.
