Can anybody above the age of 20 recommend a good vampire book?
when I say a good vampire book that means NO TWILIGHT! in fact just mentioning it will get you blocked, it's an insult to vampire mythology and that's all I have to say about it!

Alright so i have a few for you…there is a really good young adult book called Descendant: The Protector by Daniel W. Koch that you might really like. Then there’s always Dracula and my favorite vampire book is ‘Salem’s Lot by Stephen King. All three of those are highly recommended

I’m not above 20, but I agree about Twilight. I think Black Dagger Brotherhood is a really good vampire series, and not cheesy, unlike most are.
For example, your either born a vampire or not. No biting. Two, they don’t just go around killing people for blood–they need the blood of the opposite gender and usually have one person for that purpose and that person is usually their husband/wife.

Try the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. Great adult vampire series.
I’ve also heard great things about Sunshine by Robin McKinley.

Depends what you’re looking for…if you’re into the general vampire, True-Blood-esque trend, then I can’t help you, but I absolutely LOVED Dracula (the unabridged version) by Bram Stoker. Even when I was younger than twenty

The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris are pretty interesting. They’re the basis for True Blood, though the writing style and plot may not be for everyone. They’re at least worth a glance and treat the Vampire mythology pretty well.
